On December 9th, 2009, The Haven Project officially launched at its home headquarters in Camden NSW. The event drew approximately 100 people, and featured a "welcome to country" by one of the indigenous Dharwal elders, Dr Francis Bobkin, music by a gifted young singer Holli McCurley, a slide presentation explaining the birthing process of the Haven Project, and a brief talk by the various consortium partners and what their organizations bring to the mix. All in all it was an interesting morning, attended by a broad spectrum of people across the shires we serve.
